Alright. In this video, I'm going to share my two part strategy to create beautiful quote posts in less than a minute. Okay. Quick Q for you, do you get hung up on what to post on Instagram? Or maybe when you do post, you hear crickets. A simple way to boost engagement is by creating a quote post. And no, quote posts are not dead, far from it my friend. And bonus is that they are super quick to create and they can make a fast emotional connection with your audience. And it's that emotion that connects to your brand. And lastly, and probably most importantly, they are highly shareable. Hey there, if you've been sticking around with us for a while now, welcome back. If you're new to this space, welcome. I'm Vitina, co-founder of Brand Therapy Sessions. And a common question that I'll get from our students is should I be creating quote posts as part of my IG strategy? And my answer would be yes and no. So no, if you're just creating random quotes that have nothing to do with your brand values, personality, or connect with your ideal client. And on the other hand, I'd say, yes, if you are sharing quotes to motivate or create an emotional connection with your audience.

When a quote resonates with a follower, they are more likely to share your content. And in turn, this helps boost your engagement. And honestly, this is one of the biggest ways to grow your follower count. And it's kind of like a two for one if you can get someone to share your post as well. And I love this because everything about this works. When you have higher engagement, this tells Instagram that people are digging your content and the algorithm loves that. And this helps maintain your reach of your future posts. So I'm going to make this super quick for you so you can get to making your first or your next shareable IG post in just a couple of minutes.

Let's dive in and see how I do it. So the first thing I do is save inspiration. So you want to create a quote inspiration folder on Instagram. So when you see a quote that connects with you, or you think that would connect with your ideal client, you can easily save it to come back to you when it's time to create content. Or if you want to use your own quotable content, create a Google Doc, or keep a note if you're an iPhone user, you'll know what I mean. So that whenever you have a genius thought during meditation or in the shower, you can quickly jot it down on your phone. But don't bring your phone into the shower, but you know what I mean.

It's the worst when you're about to create content and you feel blocked about what to post about and usually the best ideas come at the most random times. So having a folder or a note with ideas to pull from is going to help make this super quick for you. Next, it's time to design the post. And to ensure that you can get this done as quick as you can so you don't procrastinate from posting any longer, I created five free quote templates that you can update to your brand colors and fonts. And I promise they'll make your posts look like a professional designer created them.

Now, this will bring you into the actual designs, a copy of the original design. And on the first page is just a little note from Lesley and myself. And on the second page, we strategically added this page in. So you can update these color swatches to your brand color palette. So you just click on one of the swatches, click this little swatch in the left-hand corner. And once you get to this panel, all you need to click on is this plus button, and you can copy and paste your hex code into this area here.

If you have no idea what a hex code is or what your brand colors are, we created a tutorial specifically on this topic. I'll link it up here in the right hand corner. And I'll also include the link in the description below. Canva does have a really cool pro feature. So this does cost money. We are not associated with Canva, but we appreciate this feature, which is being able to update the backend with our color palette. So this is useful for us because we want to readily have our color palette available for any of the designs that we're creating. And it's helpful because we can add our student color palettes in here as well. But again, this is not necessary. As long as you can copy and paste your hex codes in here, you'll be ready to roll.

Now, I'll scroll down, just so you can take a sneak peek at the five templates, but for today's tutorial, I'm going to focus on this first template right here. So our brand fonts are... We actually do use Poppins. So I'm going to keep this as it is, but if you have a specific font that you use, you can highlight this and change the font to whatever font you use for your brand. Canva does have an option to upload a font if you can't find your font in their library. But again, I believe that this is a paid feature. So I'll keep this as is. The first thing that I'm going to do is change the background color here. And I'm going to change it to this lighter purple. And you can play around with the transparency of the background, so you can make it super solid or super transparent.

But for the sake of this post, I think I'm going to keep it around 14 percent just so you can see a little bit of the picture in the background. I'll click on this quote icon and the color swatch, and I'll change it to this darker purple. I'll also make the... This is where you would include your Instagram handle. I'm going to change that color to this darker purple. And I think that this might be a little light because there's not enough contrast between the quote and the background. So I'm going to make this a little bit darker. So I'll go in here and I'll just drag this directly down and it will keep a similar color, but just make it a little bit darker to keep it a little more monochromatic. And then I'll highlight this and use that same swatch.

And I think design wise, I like the way that this is set up. So if you think back to tip number one or step number one, I'm going to head over to my notes right now, and I'm going to copy and paste this quote here, and I'm going to paste this right in here. And I'm going to delete this extra space and make sure it's spelled correctly. And because this isn't our post, I want to make sure I credit the author. So spirit daughter, and then I'm going to update this to @AlignCreativeMinds. Great. I like the way that looks.

So now I want to export this post. I'm going to click on download, and I'm going to click on JPEG. You can either use JPEG or a PNG file, but for the sake of this tutorial, I'm going to use a JPEG. And because I only want to export page number three, I'll select page three right here and click done. So now that that's ready, I'll click download and it will download directly to my downloads folder. I'm going to open up my downloads folder. And yes, love it. I'm ready to send this to my phone. So when you're ready to send this to your phone, there's two ways that you can do this. You can either send it via email, or if you have an iPhone, you can use airdrop. Pardon me, I have no idea what's available on Android. You might have a similar feature. If so, that's awesome. So I'm going to quickly do this just via airdrop and I'm going to this directly to my phone.
